Breakthrough Ministry Grants —Breakthrough Ministry Grants are intended to be seed money to launch new ministries or expand existing ministries to reach and impact new people as a response to the movement of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of Dakotas United Methodists. Projects supported through Breakthrough Ministry grants include: new ministries and expansion of existing ministries to reach new people, ministries that create church and school partnerships (Learn more about church-school partnerships here), ministries that build relationships with college students or other young adults, programs that help individuals hear and discern their call to ministry and technology that will enhance mission and ministry impact. Churches and projects received grants in the past two years totaling $24,500 and impacting over 4,000 lives. Click here to apply

Elf Project— The Elf Project at Velva United Methodist church is highlighted in this short video about Christ's love expressed through members of His church, into His community.
Waffle Worship— Waffle Worship is a worship service / feed the hungry / community outreach / reach new people event which began last year at Canyon Lake UMC in Rapid City, SD. This video highlights one of the services, including waffles, fruit, Goldfish communion and multiple baptisms. See the excitement of those who are reaching out to encounter the Spirit.
Feeding Kids and Souls in Watertown— Every weekend over 500 children in the Watertown area receive nutritious food to take home, thanks to the Watertown People Against Childhood Hunger (PACH) program. PACH started at First United Methodist Church in Watertown, South Dakota under the leadership of Rev. Sara Nelson.
