As Holy Week begins, Bishop Ough shares a pastoral message and prayer with clergy across the Dakotas-Minnesota Area. “As we approach this Holy Week, at a time when we are facing a pandemic. I want to let you know how proud I am of all of you. Every clergy person I have connected with, in one way or another, is simply stepping up to the plate in wonderful ways, to lead and care for our people.”
Bishop shared this quote from Martin Luther, Martin Luther wrote this counsel during the plague. “Hold steady, don’t flee your neighbors, be compassionate, use medical science. Be compassionate, but don’t overdo.”
He lifts up all clergy in prayer and reminds each of you. “This is a time when our people need Holy Week more than ever. I am praying that the resurrection power will infuse you, strengthen you, guide you and will uplift you, during this difficult time of ministry.”
