Rev. Joel Winckler, Northwest District Superintendent, sat down with Doreen Gosmire, Dakotas Conference director of communications, to share some insights, impressions, and hopes for the 2024 General Conference.
Rev. Winckler states that ministry in the local church is vital.
"My hope is that we can still be calm in the midst of disagreement and not have a blow up at our general conference. Folks will be gracious and kind, and agree to disagree. Pray for these very important meetings we have coming up and that, really, the main focus should always be what's happening in their local congregation. There's a lot of things that happen, but if the gospel is not going forth from the local church, nothing else really matters, in my opinion. It's so important for them to continue to keep the mission alive in their local area."
