Sympathy | Rev. Allen Reitz Brockway
Rev. Allan Brockway died on June 15, 2024, at age of 92, in Dallas, Texas. He was a retired elder from the Dakotas Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Rev. Brockway started his ministry in connection with the North Arkansas and Northwest Texas Conferences. In July 1963, he moved to Washington D.C. to work for the Board of Christian Social Concerns of the Methodist Church. While there, he served as the editor of their magazine, Engage/social action, and was appointed there when he transferred his membership to the North Dakota Conference in 1977. In 1979, he was appointed to extension ministry serving with the World Council of Churches. He retired in 1989.
