Over 500 members of the Dakotas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church gathered in Sioux Falls, S.D. June 6-9, 2012 to “Get Up and Go!”

Then an angel of the Lord said to Philip, "Get up and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." (Acts 8:26)

Bishop Deborah Lieder Kiesey called for all those in attendance at opening worship of the session to “Get Up and Go” to those beyond our walls. “Get Up and Go! Go! … beyond the four walls of our beautiful and beloved sanctuaries.

            Go! … to the streets of our towns and cities

            Go! … to the world with hands and hearts open to hear and respond

            Go! … to the stranger, the hurting, the seeking, the fearful

Just Go! … and offer them Christ!”
