God changes the world through prayer so we ask for you to pray for whatever God puts on your heart.  We also invite you to pray for the guests and campers of all ages and their families, the camping staff, the volunteers, the churches. We ask for God to raise up and send those that need camp in their faith journey. We hope for community in creation with God’s influence and transformation through this special camping ministry.

The positive impact of camp wouldn’t be the same without the loving care and dedication of our volunteers. We invite you to explore the meaningful and fun ministry as a camp volunteer. There are many opportunities to best utilize your gifts, we appreciate all of the time given in the spirit of a meaningful camp community experience.

Camp Ambassador

Do you love camp? Do you think it’s important for people (of all ages) to experience camp? Camp Ambassadors are a representative for UMC Area Camping within their home church to help make sure families stay in-tune with camping opportunities (many that are partially funded by your local church.) As a conduit for information flow between camp and local churches, Camp Ambassadors will work closely with their Pastor or church leader to continue the tradition of sharing the mission and ministry of the life-impacting camp experience.

Donations & Planned Giving

One of the blessings of being involved in the camping ministry is meeting people in the Dakotas and hearing stories about their camping experiences. With love in their eyes and voices, many reflect fondly on the life-long friends they made at camp or how their life was radically impacted by an individual or experience at camp. We THANK YOU for the many ways that you help campers and guests of all ages to our North Dakota and South Dakota camps.

It is obvious that camping influences lives, not only today but for years to come. Individuals take their camping experiences back to their churches and communities. It makes a difference not only in their lives but in the lives of those around them. Every individual and church has the opportunity to help increase the number of lives transformed at camp as well sharing their gifts to further camping ministry.
