Delegates to the North Central Jurisdictional Conference held in Peoria, Illinois July 13-16,  elected leaders to serve on committees and agencies for the 2017-2020 quadrenium. Eight Methodists from the Dakotas Conference will serve on comittees and agencies for the jurisdiction and for the general church.

Here is a list of those that will serve:

Commission on Archives and History (nominated by the Dakotas Conference and the North Central Jurisdiction Comission of Archives and History): Rev. Duane Coates, serving Hettinger UMC, will serve as the chair to the North Central Comission on Archives and History and on the General Commission on Archives and History.

Committee on Episcopacy (nominated by annual conference delegation): Rev. Rebecca Trefz, Dakotas Conference director of ministries and Jodi Cataldo, a member of Lehr UMC.

Committee on Investigation (nominated by College of Bishops): Nancy Oviatt (alternate lay observer, Dakotas Conference, chancellor for SD.

Court of Appeals (nominated by College of Bishops): Rev. Randy Cross (clergy), Eastern Sunrise district superintendent, Tim Ottmar (Laity), Dakotas Conference chancellor for ND and Rev. Penny Eberhart (clergy alternate), retired clergy.

General Board of Higher Education (nominated by the jurisdictional Committee on Nominations): Rev. Rebecca Trefz, Dakotas Conference director of ministries.

Mission Council:  Jodi Cataldo (elected by annual conference), a member of Lehr UMC, and Kristin Krogman (nominated by jurisdictional Committee on Nominations), a member of Presho UMC. Cataldo will serve as the chair for 2017-2020.
