We gather to worship God and to witness to our common faith and ministry by celebrating the ministries of Bishop Bruce Ough and Char Ough. To God be all glory, honor, and praise.
Bishop Bruce R. Ough was ordained as an elder in Christ’s holy Church on the second day of June, 1979, at Bute Gymnasium on the campus of the North Dakota State College of Sciences in Wahpeton, North Dakota. Through the grace of God, he has ministered in the name of Christ at 8 different appointments and assignments, across 6 conferences, connecting United Methodists across the world in 4 continents.
Bishop and Char thousands, perhaps millions of lives have known the love of Christ as you shared your passion and love for Jesus throughout 45 years of ministry. You have blessed us for the past 8 years with love and leadership by traveling across the Dakotas, logging more than a million miles, to preach, teach, and show us what it is like to love your neighbor. You started new ministries in the Bakken, your birth place and countless other places. God knew what he was doing the day the two of you were born. Let’s take a closer look at all God has done through each of you!
Our hearts are full with gratefulness and love for all you have done and will continue to do. We are so proud that the Dakotas is home to you and that you are part of our family.
Now we celebrate this ministry and give thanks to the One who has granted the harvest and to Bishop Bruce Ough, who has been a faithful and tireless laborer for the gospel.
