How do I register and what is the last date I can register?

Online registration has now closed. You can register on site at the Sioux Falls Convention Center beginning 10 a.m., June 6, 2018.  There may be limited availability of meals.  

Who can come to Annual Conference?

Anyone is welcome to attend. If you want to attend the entire conference, there is a guest registration fee of $15 per day. However, anyone can attend the pre-conference workshops and regular conference sessions without registering. The teaching sessions with Rev. Olu Brown, and the Celebration of Life in Ministry Service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2017 do not require registration. The pre-conference workshops and teaching sessions are being held at the Sioux Falls Convention Center at Sioux Falls, SD. The Celebration of Life in Ministry service is at Embrace Church in Sioux Falls.

Where is the schedule for the 2018 annual conference?

The schedule will be available in two ways. You can view the detailed schedule online here. You can download this schedule to your phone or tablet. The online schedule is the most complete and up-to-date. You will also have a general schedule with times and name of each event or session. You can preview the nametag here

Where and when do I order my 2018 Conference Journals?

Beginning in 2018, you will order the 2018 Journal directly from the printer.  The link and information for placing your direct order in August 2018.  the annual Dakotas Conference Journal has two separate volumes. Volume I Historic and Business Record, includes the conference leadership, elected leadership, business of the annual conference, ministry appointments, budget, reports, historical record, memorials, pastoral records, rules and policies and statistics. Volume II Directory, includes the clergy, church and laity directories.  Watch the Mondays @ Dakotas and also check the conference website here for ordering information in August 2018. 

I heard something about going to a baseball park, what is that all about?

On Thursday evening, June 7, beginning at 5:45 p.m., participants will enjoy food – hamburgers, brats and more – and fellowship at the Canaries Baseball park. The park is home to the Sioux Falls Canaries baseball, who are playing out of town that night. However, United Methodists will bring their own game to town including: Pastor Charlie Moore and company providing music, lawn games, and the first ever kickball game tournament, led by the Dakotas Conference district superintendents, and refereed by Bishop Ough.
