Nominations needed for Conference Lay Leadership

One of the items of business at the 23rd session of the Dakotas Annual Conference to be held June 9-11, 2016 in Sioux Falls, will be to elect conference and district lay leadership. Elections for Conference lay leadership are held every four years.
Please encourage that certain individual from your congregation, who feels called to serve as a conference lay leader, to complete the online application (click here) by May 2, 2016.

Calling all youth workers and pastors working with youth

Although most churches do not require Continuing Education Units, if we do not want to become stagnant, we must choose to grow. Come and spend time of renewal and learning as Mark DeVries presents Sustainable Youth Ministry at the Youth Worker Academy April 29-May 1, located at Storm Mountain Center.

Too often we try to get by with "good enough."  Take the time to expand your ministry by spending the weekend with a national presenter and fellow Dakotas Conference youth workers.  This time will be spent learning what makes youth groups great, but is also a chance for youth workers to recharge their batteries and make connections.

Rev. Kris Mutzenberger states, “Youth ministry in our changing culture is so important. Receiving specific training gives youth workers confidence and support as they seek to build faith foundations with youth. Connecting with other adults who share your passion for youth is equally energizing.”
