Born of the Spirit John 14:11-14

Jesus taught that becoming his disciple is like being “born again.” It means believing that Jesus is God, and it means starting over with the Spirit of God giving us a new perspective on life and new way of speaking and acting.

One of the ways that we know we have been “born” in the Spirit this way is that we will be different than we were. Our hair color won’t change and we won’t get any taller or shorter, but we will start to act like our new spiritual Parent — we will act like Jesus.

We have a chance to start fresh. Jesus wants his children to continue his work of love, justice, and healing in the world.
