This weekend is the third Sunday after Pentecost. It is also the Summer Solstice, or the first day of summer. And, of course, it is Father’s Day. Celebrate with us and worship with Southern Hills UMC in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Prairie Winds UMC in Dickinson, North Dakota. These congregations are celebrating with drive-in worship, outdoor worship, and worship online.

This Sunday marks a transition in ministry as we say goodbye to Pastor Justin Jenness, who will be moving on to serve Hilltop UMC in Sioux Falls. We invite you to share your prayer requests with us in the chat and also just let us know what it on your heart. We will have someone chatting, responding to your prayer requests and just greeting you. Your presence matters to us!

We have been thriving in ministry through Zoom and online devotions. You can reach out to us through our website or just send us a message through our Facebook page. There are weekly Bible studies and devotions. We will be happy to pray for any of your needs.

We are transitioning into emerging ministry as we gather in our parking and then moving indoors over the summer months.  I will be transitioning from serving the congregations of Flandreau UMC and Southern Hills UMC to serving only Southern Hills. Things are different but good!

We are so happy to be holding public worship again. There are three worship opportunities Offered on Sundays at Prairie Winds. Our traditional service meets at 8:30 a.m. MDT. We offer a contemporary worship at 11:30 a.m. MDT, and we have added a 5:30 p.m. MDT outdoor devotion. View worship online on our Facebook page or watch on our website.

Though currently we are not offering structured fellowship time, nursery, or Kids church, we have multiple studies being offered on Zoom, Wednesday pastoral devotions on Facebook, and children’s lessons through social media. 

We believe God is bigger than any virus, any discrimination, or any injustice. The Church of Jesus Christ is not outdated, irrelevant, or dying out. Together we are doing life together while praying to be used by Jesus for Jesus! Won’t you join us?!”
