Five years ago the pastor at Embrace Church in Sioux Falls, Adam Weber, sent an e-mail to another pastor seeing if there was a need for a new church in town.
“Honestly I didn’t expect we'd have much of a response and that very first night we had 32 people show up,” Weber said.
He says many of the people that came said they didn’t go to church at all or hadn’t in years
“Most of them just said, there just doesn’t seem to be a place for us or a place for me or a place for my family where we can come in and really be welcomed,” Weber said.
