Youth currently in grades 8-12 have the chance to join an adventure to Racine, Wisconsin, for the 2018 summer high school mission trip. The trip will deepen your faith by serving others as you work with flood recovery efforts. Major flooding occured in this area of Wisconsin during the summer of 2017.
It's a great chance to serve those in need and join with community agencies such as thrift stores, food banks, and homeless shelters. Experience your faith by serving your neighbors in Wisconsin.
A bus will depart from Piedmont, South Dakota on Friday, June 15, stop at Sioux Falls overnight, and leave from Sioux Falls on Saturday, June 16. The first day will be spent in Racine worshiping, exploring, getting to know each other, and orientation to the community and the work that lies ahead. Work in flood recovery and community agencies will happen Monday through Thursday in a variety of settings.
The group will travel to the Wisconsin Dells, Thursday evening, spend the day playing and having fun at an amusement park.
The trip will cost $625. The cost includes transportation, the accommodations, most of the food, and the amusement park. Individuals will be responsible for some meal money and for any souvenirs that you would like to buy. Make your first payment and register by March 1 to guarantee your spot.
