Select a camp ambassador for your church

Camp ambassadors share camp and retreat opportunities with children, youth, and families in their local churches and communities and provide information about how to become involved in this life-changing ministry. More specifically, camp ambassadors act as the Dakotas United Methodist Camps spokesperson within their churches. So now is the time for each church to designate who their camp ambassador will be and get them connected with resources. Contact Glenda Gerlach in the Dakotas Conference Camping Office by e-mail or phone 605-990-7780 with the name and contact information of your camp ambassador.

Plan a camp Sunday

Camp Sundays are a time when everyone at your church celebrates the Dakotas Camp and Retreat Ministry.  It is a time to get everyone excited about what the Camp and Retreat Ministry has to offer.  Some of the resources for churches include a posters, videos and camping booklet.  Camp Sunday is a time to invite past campers, camping staff or future campers to plan worship.

January 1:  Online registration opened for 2017 camps

January 13:  2017 camping Information mailed to churches*

Febuary 3: Promotional materials available for camp ambassadors

February 1 - April 30: Local camp ambassadors hold camping Sunday

May 1: Early Bird Registration Deadline
