Prom, track, baseball, Facebook, graduation are just a few things that high school students are up to this spring. The youth at Knollwood Heights United Methodist Church in Rapid City, South Dakota put all those typical spring activities for youth on hold to plan and conduct a fundraiser for people they have not even met.
"They decided to do something for those that are working and in need in the Bakken Oil Rush Region. There is so many other things they could be doing," stated Pastor Sharla McCaskell.
The youth raised over $125 in one hour. The funds will be part of Bishop Ough's Miracle Offering for the Bakken Oil Rush Ministry at the 2013 Annual Conference.
