Rev. Dr. Grace E. Huck was a Dakotas Conference Elder, and one of the first women in the denomination to receive full elder status. During her ministry, she spent over ten years serving as a missionary in the Philippines, at the Harris Memorial College, fulfilling a number of roles. She was highly respected and honored for her dedication to the school, its students, and the financial future of the ministry.
At General Conference in May, 2024, Dakotas Conference Communicators Dave Stucke and Doreen Gosmire met a namesake of Grace Huck's... a goddaughter from the Middle Philippines Conference. This interview with Lucille Grace Hilario is a testament to our worldwide United Methodist connection. Although Rev. Dr. Grace E. Huck died in 2018 at the age of 102, her legacy of ministry and selfless financial stewardship live on at Harris Memorial College, and the deaconesses she so passionately raised up.
