Dakota Wesleyan University and the University of Jamestown were the sites for the 2014 Dakotas Conference Mission u events. Dr. Gary Ball-Kilbourne led the study, "How Is It With Your Soul?" Rev. Debra Ball-Kilbourne led the study, "The Roma of Europe". Rev. Linda Baldock led "The Church and People with Disabilities." Other speakers brought insight into missions in Bakken oil rush country, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and more.

Charissa Shawcross, Mission Interpreter of the North Central Jurisdiction attended both sites. Shawcross is from MIchigan. She spoke about the General Board of Gloabal Ministries missionaries and projects.
Southern site
Sixty-six people participated in Mission U held on the campus of Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota July 10-13. The southern site also had a camp for five children, that was led by Colleen McKirdy. Additionally, four youth travelled to Wessington Springs for a one-day, hands-on mission project under the leadership of Pat Siefken and Rev. Scott McKirdy.
Attendees reported being inspired and challenged through the studies, speakers, activities and plenaries.
Northern site
Fifty-three people participated in Mission u held at the University of Jamestown in Jamestown, North Dakota July 17-20. The program included three workshops sessions and three studies. There was also a display area including Haiti Solar Oven Parnters, Tree of Life Ministries, Out in Faith Ministry, Bakken Oil Rush Ministry, and more.
The traditional dance of Roma people of Europe was demonstrated by Erin, a staff person from the University of Jamestown.
2015
Plans are underway for Mission u 2015. New Mission u studies will be "Latin America" and "The Joy of Christian Living". One study from 2014 will be repeated, "The Church and People with Disabilities".
Continuing education units, fun and fellowship will always be available at Dakotas Conference Mission u events. Make plans to attend.
