The Mitchell First United Methodist Church (UMC) confirmation class raised  $2200 for Imagine No Malaria with creativity, spirit and kazoos! 

The confirmation youth at Mitchell UMC chose this project and came up with the idea to be “pests” as mosquitoes are, and pester people until they gave money to the cause.  

The project theme wasHear the Buzzzzz.   The youth noisily converged on yards and homes of friends and church members with information on malaria, and a request for donations to their project.

"They worked hard to educate themselves and others.  They really had a lot of fun and raised a lot of money for Imagine No Malaria," stated Pastor Lou Whitmer.
