Rev. Lou Whitmer, Aberdeen North Highland UMC, invites all United Methodists in the Dakotas to join  in Praying our Way Forward this week August 20-26, 2017.

Spirit of the living God, you are everywhere. You cannot be contained, limited or bound to human understanding.  Forgive us for our tendency to narrow the boundaries of your presence, your grace, and your love. Open us to understanding that reducing you to only what we comprehend is not to our advantage as we strive to be your Kingdom- builders, justice-doers, and peace-bringers. Strengthen and encourage us to reach out without fear into your future of hope. Move us in the way forward in ways in which we can more fully live out the Gospel imperatives to grow in love of God and neighbor, reach new people , and heal a broken world. We bravely ask for your presence to be known to us and for it to transform us, and trust that you will continue with us each step of the way. In awe and in gratitude, Amen.
