Carlyle E. Richards, 89, of Aberdeen, SD, died September 15, 2024, at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD, following a brain injury. Carlyle is the husband of Rev. Sheila Richards, retired elder from the Dakotas Conference of the United Methodist Church. He is also the father of Rev. Leisa Richards, elder from the Dakotas Conference.
Sheila and Carlyle served Eureka, Aberdeen North Highland, Church of All Nations, and Southeast District Superintendent.
A musical Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, SD, with Rev. Jeff Whillock and Rev. Andrea Johnson presiding, and a light lunch to follow.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please send those flowers – or a card or a note – to someone you love or someone you know is struggling.
