United Methodist Women from around the Dakotas Conference “blasted” the Bishop with love ribbons and hugs Saturday, October 13, at their annual meeting in Bismarck, ND. Bishop Ough was at Bismarck Legacy United Methodist Church to speak at the United Methodist Women’s annual celebration.
The Bishop was truly blessed by Dakotas Conference United Methodist Women with the love ribbons as United Methodist Women were blessed by his presence and presentation. In all, his stole was pinned with over 130 love ribbons.
Love ribbons are a project of United Methodist Women in the Dakotas. The love ribbon is purchased for one dollar and presented to people as a way to say “thank you,” “thinking of you,” “happy birthday,” and for just about any other occasion. The love ribbon is always given with a hug for the recipient. All money raised from the sale of love ribbons is used to provide small grants to projects in the Dakotas that benefit women, children, and youth.
“Thank you,” Bishop Ough, for blessing us.
