What Jesus Came to Do Mark 1:32-34

As Jesus continued through his ministry, he encountered all kinds of people. He healed them and cast out demons. Jesus came to bring healing, and he also came to bring light to the darkness.

When I think of demons, I have a tendency to think of scary movies or TV shows. I think of darkness, uncertainty, and fear. Jesus came to change that — to bring light to darkness, to be a source of hope and love.

We all face times of darkness in our lives, whether through situations at home, school, times of loss or change. The comfort we can find through faith in Christ will not make those situations disappear, but it will help us remember that we are not alone.
